The Journal of Contemporary Chinese Discourse Studies is devoted to the development of Chinese approaches to discourses and communication of contemporary China on the one hand and on the other hand empirical research into Chinese discourses and communication guided by such approaches. Ultimately it seeks to provide effective guidance for the practice of Chinese discourses, facilitate intercultural understanding of them and create conditions for genuine research innovation in human discourse and communication scholarship. Accordingly, we welcome contributions on the following topics:

( Re) construction of Chinese paradigmsof discourse and communication research

Contemporary Chinese discourse and communication and the Chinese cultural tradition

Cultural characteristics of existing paradigms of discourse and communication research and their consequences

Discourses reflecting major concerns or significant aspects of Chinese society

Intercultural and international communication between China and the rest of the world
