Teaching objects: doctoral students majoring in foreign languages and literature
Teaching task: discourse analysis originated from the west and has become a global hegemonic discourse system. This course aims to conduct cultural criticism of current discourse analysis and establish a Chinese research paradigm that is both rooted in the local area and looking around the world. To this end, we will observe the current situation of discourse analysis in China and the world, explore the characteristics and differences of discourse research in the east and the west, and analyze each other's deficiencies from different cultural perspectives, so as to lay a foundation for the establishment of a more appropriate new paradigm of Chinese cultural discourse research. In the process of teaching, students must read extensively the literature on language communication in eastern and western cultures, and explore the differences between eastern and western discourses. Students write comments on relevant books with cultural criticism, cultural consciousness and cultural creation.
